Anthropic Expands Claude Cowork With 13 Enterprise Plugins for HR, Finance, and Operations

Anthropic has expanded its Claude Cowork platform with 13 enterprise plugins spanning human resources, finance, operations, and compliance workflows. The plugins are available exclusively to Claude Enterprise customers and represent the company's most direct push into domain-specific workplace automation.

The HR plugin suite enables Claude to generate job descriptions, compile onboarding materials, and draft offer letters that pull from existing company templates and compensation data. Finance plugins cover market research, financial modeling, investment banking document review, equity research analysis, and wealth management portfolio assessment — integrating with FactSet for real-time market data.

On the operations side, new plugins handle standard operating procedure generation, vendor proposal summarization, and project status updates. These tools connect to Google Drive and Gmail for document retrieval and distribution, and to DocuSign for contract and agreement workflows.

Anthropic is also launching a custom plugin marketplace where enterprise customers can build, share, and deploy proprietary plugins tailored to their internal systems. The marketplace includes a plugin development kit and sandbox environment for testing before deployment.

The expansion positions Claude Cowork as a more direct competitor to Microsoft Copilot and Google Duet AI in the enterprise productivity space, though Anthropic's approach differs by focusing on deep, task-specific workflows rather than broad copilot-style assistance. Each plugin is designed to handle a complete workflow end-to-end rather than offering general suggestions.

Enterprise customers can enable plugins individually through their admin console, with role-based access controls determining which teams can access specific plugin categories. Anthropic says the plugins process data within existing enterprise security boundaries with no training on customer data.
